Elevate your practice to the next level with A 3-Weekend Dental Implant Fellowship
The Institute of Houston Dental Synergy Implant Fellowship helps dentists introduce Implant Dentistry to their practices. We are passionate about sharing our knowledge with every participant through providing science-based lectures, hands-on practice and live surgery. All iHDS faculty are in full-time specialty practice and have designed an in-depth education approach, allowing participants to study the full range of important implant topics from the basic sciences all the way to final implant restoration. We are committed to keeping an effective educator to learner ratio with a class maximum of 20 students.
During each weekend course, attendees will have hands-on practice on cadaver heads or pig jaws and will watch live surgery performed by one of the faculty. The optional fourth session is currently being revamped to cater to each participant’s dental license provisions and will be priced accordingly. For the fourth session, there are three options under consideration:
1) Texas-licensed participants will have a weekend at the iHDS facility to perform surgery on one of their own patients under the direct supervision of one of the faculty members;
2) We take a group trip to one of our international clinic partners, such as one in Mexico or Honduras, for a weekend of multiple implant placements followed by some resort relaxation;
3) Participants cover expenses to allow a faculty member to travel to the participant’s practice to supervise a day of surgeries.
In addition to the weekend classroom sessions and supervised surgeries, attendees will benefit from full online support from iHDS faculty to discuss and consult their cases. The online mentorship is for one year, beginning with the date of the first session. This active forum is the missing link to many implant courses and allows students to continue asking for support so they will keep using implants and experience patient success.
With this extensive and comprehensive series of lectures, surgeries and support, attendees complete the Implant Fellowship with the confidence, understanding and skills needed to place implants the following work day in their own practice.
The cost for each attendee will be $12,000 for the first three sessions. The total cost will depend on the optional fourth session selected.

2023 Live Upcoming Courses
Beyond Perio-Ortho Limits 2024
Drs. Ramos, Scheyer, Evans, and Alfi will discuss their experiences with digital interdisciplinary workflows utilizing Digital Smile Design (DSD) to guide the practitioners during a collaborative treatment planning process between all of the disciplines in dentistry.
Restoring The Complex Full Arch
This interactive seminar will cover all aspects of an immediate implant placement and immediate loading protocol on a full arch restoration. It will have a live procedure performed by the speakers and hands on exercise on models. This seminar is focus on describing surgical and prosthetic factors involve on the treatment planning and execution of complex implant rehabilitation cases (FP1, FP2 and FP3). It will describe surgical landmarks in the maxilla and techniques for the placement of 4-6 dental implants. It will follow with a live case where 6 implants will be placed and immediately restored for a complete explanation of the surgical and prosthetic techniques. A digital workflow will be utilized from planning, surgical execution and prosthetic fabrication. The latest technologies as Photogrammetry, 3D printing and IOS will be demonstrated.
A Recertification and Update Course For The Level 1 and Level 2 Dental Anesthesia Practitioner
A requirement for maintaining a level 1 or level 2 anesthesia permit is to remain current in the controlling statutory anesthesia rule and requirements.
