What You’ll Learn

The Institute of Houston Dental Synergy is proud to host Dr. Giancarlo Romero, DDS, MS, and Dr. Rolando Nuñez, DDS, MS. This course will teach step-by-step unique techniques to approaching the rehabilitation of a severe worn down dentition. Learn how to build up these complex cases and convert them to a segmental rehabilitation approach and still have time to stabilize occlusion for a few months. We will cover all aspects in the analog and digital world, including how to prescribe cases to your laboratory. Dr. Nuñez will explain methodically predictable building protocols that will change the way you are treating different materials in your practices. You will learn:

  • How to analyze analogically or digitally your wear cases and how to fabricate clear silicon matrix
  • How to build up with flowable composite and matrix, using hands-on models
  • Tips on finishing the temporary composite build up rehabilitation
  • Bonding protocols according to the surfaces involved

Dr. Giancarlo G. Romero

Dr. Giancarlo G. Romero, prosthodontist, earned his D.D.S. degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Since 1995 he has worked in the U.S. and in 1998 obtained his certificate in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree from University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. In addition to his private practice, Houston Dental Implant Center, he conducts research on implants and ceramics and lectures worldwide.

Dr. Rolando Nuñez

DDS, MS

Dr. Rolando Nuñez opened his private practice in 1996, focusing on restorative dentistry. For several years he lectured extensively around Venezuela and is an accredited member of the Venezuelan Dental Society that provides CE courses to its members. In 2005, Dr. Nuñez joined the research and development department at BISCO, where he participated in developing new dental materials. Dr. Nuñez is currently practicing restorative dentistry in Venezuela. He received his D.D.S. degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 1995 and an M.Sc. in Biomaterials from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2005. He continues extensive involvement in research and lecturing.
