Learning Objectives:
Early implementation of maxillary expansion.
Maxillary skeletal expansion, diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution.
Historical and current concepts of Surgically Facilitated Orthodontic Therapy (SFOT).
It is no longer possible to do today’s job with yesterday’s methods and technology and remain a profitable business in the future. Orthodontics is of great importance to Interdisciplinary Treatment and it has been proposed that 70% of cases could benefit from tooth movement to obtain better and less invasive results. With the addition of digital workflows, your team can simply and virtually determine the final ideal plan. How to translate the 3D project into reality is the challenge! Using Orthodontic therapy alone has its limitations. This course will teach the student how to expand the limits by adding adjunct therapies and new innovations for the interdisciplinary team.
Drs. Ramos, Scheyer, Evans, and Alfi will discuss their experiences with digital interdisciplinary workflows utilizing Digital Smile Design (DSD) to guide the practitioners during a collaborative treatment planning process between all of the disciplines in dentistry. We will discuss the use of DSD and Invisalign work flows with accelerated techniques utilizing palatal expanders, skeletal anchorage, surgical facilitation and guided orthognathic surgery. These treatment algorithms will allow for more predictable results and more efficient treatment pathways to accomplish treatments that we could not before.
This amazing team of instructors will cover how to:
- Use predictable and simple digital workflow to achieve better results for the patients
- Expand the possibilities Integrating Ortho in the Facially Driven Interdisciplinary Digital Workflow
- Incorporate facial and airway analysis in the ortho-smile treatment planning
- Build a stable Class I occlusion according to the adequate portrait of the smile design together with the balance of the facial frame in just one planning, incorporating all specialties in a very straight forward digital plan
- Combine perio plastic surgery and natural restorations to improve aesthetic results in complex cases
- Address Acceleration & Bone Biology, – Incorporating Micro-Osteoperforations and High Frequency Vibration with DSD & Invisalign cases and SFOT
- Use the DSD TAD guide – full workflow and Guide demonstration
- Utilizing Skeletal Anchorage for Maxillary Skeletal Expansion
- Utilizing guided Surgical Facilitated Orthodontic Therapy using corticotomies and augmentation procedures
- Utilizing digital workflow to carry out customized guides and plating systems for maxillary and mandibular advancement.
Rise above line-item dentistry and commoditized dental services. Be part of the fully integrated, digital, interdisciplinary team by creating collaboration between Orthodontists, Periodontists, Oral Surgeons, Prosthodontists, and Restorative Dentists. This course is an ideal setting for the interdisciplinary teams to learn together so they can implement this workflow for improved case acceptance and more predictable outcomes.

2023 Live Upcoming Courses
Restoring The Complex Full Arch
This interactive seminar will cover all aspects of an immediate implant placement and immediate loading protocol on a full arch restoration. It will have a live procedure performed by the speakers and hands on exercise on models. This seminar is focus on describing surgical and prosthetic factors involve on the treatment planning and execution of complex implant rehabilitation cases (FP1, FP2 and FP3). It will describe surgical landmarks in the maxilla and techniques for the placement of 4-6 dental implants. It will follow with a live case where 6 implants will be placed and immediately restored for a complete explanation of the surgical and prosthetic techniques. A digital workflow will be utilized from planning, surgical execution and prosthetic fabrication. The latest technologies as Photogrammetry, 3D printing and IOS will be demonstrated.
Beyond Perio-Ortho Limits 2024
Drs. Ramos, Scheyer, Evans, and Alfi will discuss their experiences with digital interdisciplinary workflows utilizing Digital Smile Design (DSD) to guide the practitioners during a collaborative treatment planning process between all of the disciplines in dentistry.
A Recertification and Update Course For The Level 1 and Level 2 Dental Anesthesia Practitioner
A requirement for maintaining a level 1 or level 2 anesthesia permit is to remain current in the controlling statutory anesthesia rule and requirements. Additionally, permit holders must periodically refresh and update their anesthesia and emergency preparedness knowledge for safe office anesthesia practice.
